The Rhode Island Interscholastic League has partnered with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. Our program, “Traffic Safety is a Team Sport," supports RIDOT’s mission of achieving Zero Fatalities by focusing on the following areas: Occupant Safety, Distracted Driving and Impaired Driving. Through education and outreach, the RIIL aims to positively influence the student-athletes, coaches, administrators and fans within our far-reaching RIIL community to modify behavior in an effort to save lives, reduce injuries and improve highway safety.
