Overview:
______________________________________________________________________________

Sportsmanship is an important part of education-based athletics, and student cheering sections can be a key factor in creating a festive high school event. The RIIL Student Advisory Board wants to see your student section in action, and see how you contribute to a fun and positive experience. The RIIL Battle of the Fans competition will let us all see who has the top student cheering section in Rhode Island.

Send us videos of your student section displaying its school spirit at several game nights. We want to see videos that reflect enthusiasm and togetherness within cheering sections. We want to witness cheers that pump up the atmosphere without disrespecting anyone involved in the sporting event. We want to see a mixture of school spirit and positivity within student cheering squads. We want to see student support for multiple sport teams.

Anyone can create the Battle of the Fans video: Cheerleaders, Band Members, Student Section Leaders, members of the video production class, yearbook staff, student council or any other member of the student body. The best videos will probably be created through the use of teamwork from the entire student body!
